Challenge

A local bank was experiencing high turnover of new employees. Exit interviews showed that many of these employees felt mentally unprepared for the demands of the job.

Solution

As a part of the bank’s newly established mentorship program, I designed and delivered an instructor-led training on the idea of “grit” to a mixed group of senior and junior bank employees. The workshop helped to create a stronger sense of community and support for incoming hires as well as a space for vulnerability.
